Religious Education

In our Religious Education programs, our teachers join your children on their faith journey with lessons, prayers, crafts and stories. Our program is designed to meet the needs of your child's faith formation, whether your child is just beginning the process of preparing for their First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion, or continuing their faith journey up to the eighth grade level. For information about signing your child up for Religious Education, please contact Gloria Fetta at (949) 951-8599 ext. 230.

Our catechists teach a Catholic series from RCL Benziger. This series is a Christ centered and a truly balanced approach to catechesis, doctrine, scripture, tradition and spirituality.

First - Third Grades

Sacramental Preparation for baptized children entering First - Third Grades has a focus on learning about God and creation, and coming to know Jesus in the sacraments of Reconciliation (Confession) and First Eucharist (Communion). Classes are Mondays at either 4pm or 6:30pm.

Fourth, Fifth and Sixth Grade

This group meets on Wednesdays. Fourth grade explores the commandments and how to apply them to our lives today. Fifth grade learns about our encounters with God in the sacraments and sixth grade returns to our roots in the Old Testament.

Sacramental Preparation for Fourth - Sixth Grades

Baptized students will attend classes on Wedensdays from 7pm to 8:15pm and prepare to receive the sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Eucharist.

Seventh and Eighth Grades

Middle schoolers meet one Sunday of each month from 4pm to 6pm for fellowship and study. They learn about developing a relationship with Jesus and serving Him through service to others. There will be some opportunities for on-site as well as off-site Christian Service opportunities.

If your child has yet to receive Reconciliation and First Communion, please go to the First Holy Communion Tab and download the form provided.

Faith Celebration Opportunities will also be offered to families throughout the year.
